During this time of international conflict, we hope that these resources will be helpful and supportive to you and your congregation.

In the Midst of Conflict: Congregational Resources

The Union of American Hebrew Congregations provides an extensive network of insights and resources on building congregational community, dealing with disagreements, teaching children, and engaging in meaningful prayer and worship practices during a time of war. Also included are statements on the war in Iraq, curricular materials, links to other sites, and news updates.

Iraq: the Way to Peace

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops explores activities for schools, parishes, youth groups, and others to consider during international conflict. Prayer and liturgy suggestions are provided, as well as action alerts, church statements, and diocesan links. Web visitors may also learn how they can support Catholic Relief Services' humanitarian aid efforts.

Worship Resources for Peace

Seven Protestant denominations (Lutheran, Episcopal, Moravian, Presbyterian, Reformed, United Church of Christ, and United Methodist) suggest prayers, hymns, readings, and other worship ideas that support congregations praying for peace. Numerous links are provided, including one to textweek.com's interdenominational "Resources for Use in Times of Terrorism and War."
