Thinking Beyond Your Immediate Project
Once you engage in a construction project there is a tendency to become very focused on the immediate task at hand. Therefore, before you start on your project, think about what life in and around your house of worship will be after construction is completed. Be sure that you have discussed issues such as:
- Acclimating the congregation to its new facility
- Maintenance of new facilities
- Dynamics associated with the growth from new visitors
- The possible need for additional staff to support the expanded facilities
- Impact to your operations budget
