We may bring concerns that we also deal with in the political arena. However, worship allows us to deal with these concerns with a mind-set other than "decision-making."

Worship allows us to bring our convictions and uncertainties—as well as our hurts and hopes and failings—into the transforming presence of the holy Other. In this we may discover metanoia—a change of heart, a change of mind, a change of direction. We may find ourselves accepted, healed, forgiven, and empowered with new hope and vision for action.
