EQ Today (Periodical)
San Mateo, CA: Six Seconds.

The concept of "emotional intelligence" refers to our capacity to do four things: perceive emotions; use emotions to assist thinking; understand emotions; and manage emotions. In recent years, knowledge about emotional intelligence has expanded enormously—and with it, the resources for its development. One of those resources is EQ Today.

EQ Today is a publication of Six Seconds, a non-profit organization seeking to bring emotional intelligence practices to schools, families, and organizations. Through the publication’s Web site, you can freely access many current articles. And by entering a topic into the internal search, you can access a wide variety of previous articles without cost. You can also register for a sample copy of the print edition, which provides additional articles and resources not available online. The EQ Today Web site offers access to a free directory of related Web sites, the ability to purchase a variety of emotional intelligence products, information on conferences, and free lesson plans for schools.

Congregations interested in applying emotional intelligence concepts and practices to their leadership development and organizational learning will find this resource very valuable.
