Strategies for Coaching the
Development Journey: Birth to Infancy

This is the strategy for moving a new congregation from its Birth stage to Infancy where relationships with God and one another are emphasized. It involves an Experiential Route.

Length of the Infancy stage is three to five years.

Congregational life cycle-related tactical steps for a Birth to Infancy Strategy include the following:

• Passionately cast the vision of the new congregation.
  
  
• Focus on developing deeper relationships with God and one another.
  
  
• Be intentional about personal disciplemaking journeys.
  
  
• Encourage people to do the work of the congregation out of the overflow of their personal disciplemaking journey.
